Biotechnology is a field of biology that involves the use of living things in engineering, technology, medicine, etc.. Modern use of the term refers to genetic engineering as well as cell- and tissue culture technologies.

The department was started in the year 2002 to create opportunities in the fast growing technology.

The department has two Air Conditioned spacious labs with sophisticated instruments that are necessary for conducting various experiments. Spectrophotometer, Micro centrifuge and laminar air flow chambers are few items among the variety of equipment provided in the lab apart from a number of training kits.

Chemistry

Chemistry is the science of matter and the changes it undergoes. It is the science for studies of various atoms, molecules, crystals and other aggregates of matter whether in isolation or combination, which incorporates the concepts of energy and entropy in relation to the spontaneity of chemical processes.

The department was started in the year 1992. It was started to thrust the area of study to understand physical and biological terms.

The department has set up three spacious labs with all the necessary equipments, books and teaching aids. The other facilities provided include a balance and preparation room, a gas supplying unit along with the extensive equipment. Drug chemistry is also offered as one of the elective subject in the final year with necessary practical experimentation

Commerce

The department of commerce was started in the year 1992 to explore new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics. The students in this department are exposed to practical environment through live projects, workshops, Case studies, Practicals, Orientation Programme and industrial visits. Such a mode of education in fact boosts the spirit of students which later adds to their intellectual armory and industry preparedness.

Computer Science

Computer science or computing science(sometimes abbreviated CS) is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation, and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems.

The department was established during the academic year 1992.

Electronics

This department was established in the year 1992. The department is taking much effort to inject the aspects of electronics to make future scientists of the nation. The department has sophisticated lab well equipped with latest devices like Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, digital Boards, Analog meters etc to meet the challenges in the field of electronics. We provide various microprocessor kits for students to improve their programming knowledge and logical skills. The first and second semester syllabus consists of Network Analysis and Electronic Devices & Circuits.

Electronics is the branch of science and technology which makes use of the controlled motion of electrons through different media and vacuum. It is the world of communications through novel techniques. In third and fourth semester, the syllabus deals with introduction to Analog Circuits and Linear Integrated circuits and basics of communication systems. Two papers in fifth semester comprises of Digital Electronics stuffed with 8085 micro processor. The final semester consists of digital communications and Embedded Systems (8051 Micro Controller).

Management

The main objective of the Department of Management is to provide professional knowledge and skills in Management with a view to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of managerial manpower in business and non-business organizations to face the emerging challenges in the competitive world of the new millennium.

The programme is practical and is designed to provide with the intellectual and professional tools needed to assume positions of higher responsibilities and develop their own style of leadership.

Mathematics

Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, and change. Mathematicians seek out patterns, formulate new conjectures, and establish truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions. There is debate over whether mathematical objects such as numbers and points exist naturally or are human creations.

Micro-Biology

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, which are unicellular or cell-cluster microscopic organisms. This includes eukaryotes such as fungi and prokaryotes. Microbiology refers to the study of life and organisms that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Microbiology typically includes the study of the immune system, or Immunology.

The department founded in 1992 is interested in showing students how to develop and use statistical approaches for analysing data that comes up during the scientific research of issues in a variety of areas. Additionally, it gives users hands-on experience using cutting-edge statistical software for this type of data analysis. A statistician is always an essential member of any research team conducting any research study.
