Department of MCA
The Dept. of Computer Applications was setup in the year 1993 and has acquired reputation as an outstanding department for imparting quality education in Computer Applications at P.G level, affiliated to Osmania University. Avanthi is keeping abreast of the recent developments in Computer education and is now geared up with original software, Computer systems and other Computer infrastructural facilities in the wake of emerging competitive Global environment.   Avanthi P.G College is offering the program of MCA with an intake of 120 students and performance of the Dept. is quite impressive with many landmarks to its credit.
 
The performance of the students at Osmania University examinations, the placement activities and the extra and co-curricular activities reflect the academic standards and quality of education that is been important at Avanthi.

Avanthi has recorded 90% results in the examinations and majority of students got distinction too.  The students of MCA get placements in MNC’s and large sized companies with a record of 90% placements.  The software companies that visited Avanthi for the purpose of placement include -

Avanthi conducts ‘IT & Management’ meets for broadening the perceptions and outlook of the students.  Apart from regular curriculum, students undergo training program in various software companies as a part of MCA program and this facilitate ‘hands on experience’ with live projects.

A number of guest lectures are arranged in the area of Personality Development, Soft Skills and an everyone capturing the technologies for recent developments.

The Department is having well qualified and experienced faculty members. The well equipped computer laboratories and well stacked library reflect the commitment of Avanthi in imparting quality education in Computer Applications through the MCA program.
Department of MBA
Established in the year 1994, offering MBA programme affiliated to Osmania University the Dept. of Bus. Management is a premier and oldest Dept. of Avanthi Group of Institutions.

The Dept. has acquired a name for itself in imparting management Education so as to sharpen and mould the students to face challenges in the emerging Global Business environment.  The management and faculty are conscious of the competitive environment in imparting Management Education and accordingly tune themselves to meet the demands and aspirations of budding managers.

The performance of the Management school can be judged in terms of quality of education, exam results, placement activities and extracurricular and co-curricular activities launched by them. Avanthi P.G College has been consistently maintaining above 95% results in exams conducted by Osmania University and a number of a students got distinctions over the years.

Avanthi has established a track record of placement activities at 80% placements providing placement opportunities to students of MBA in well established and reputed cooperates and MNCs such as HDFC, Mahindra Satyam, CTS, Cadila Pharma, Wipro BPO, Capital IQ etc. that identified Avanthi for their placement destination.

TIME institutions, FOCUS i, Satyam conduct campus recruitment training programs and Personality Development programs.  As a part of MBA curriculum, students are required to undergo summer internship Programme which will facilitate the harmonious blending of both theoretical concepts and practical Business applications. A number of academic and extra - curricular programmes are regularly conducted in the form of IT & Management Meets, cultural meets and communication workshops whereby the students have the opportunity to interact with the experts in the field of industry & Management and to exhibit their potentialities – all these aim at all round development of the personality of the students.
Department of Microbiology
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, which are unicellular or cell-cluster microscopic organisms. This includes eukaryotes such as fungi and prokaryotes. Microbiology refers to the study of life and organisms that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Microbiology typically includes the study of the immune system, or Immunology. The department was established in the year 2006 to make young minds give their contribution in the present molecular world. The department has 2 spacious labs to cater the needs of various areas of microbiology like General, Soil, Food, Dairy and Molecular Biology.
Department of Chemistry
Chemistry is the science of matter and the changes it undergoes. It is the science  for studies of various atoms, molecules, crystals and other aggregates of matter whether in isolation or combination, which incorporates the concepts of energy and entropy in relation to the spontaneity of chemical processes.

The department was started in the year 2006. The department has set up three spacious labs with all the necessary equipments, books and teaching aids. The other facilities provided include a balance and preparation room, a gas supplying unit along with the extensive equipment. Drug chemistry is also offered as one of the elective subject in the final year with necessary practical experimentation.
